About Us

Firstly, I’d like to welcome to you (My) Spare Room, an independent production company and collection of works that were created in some part by me, Joshua Francisco Mitchell.

I’m a Director/ Producer with over 4 years of working in the industry, adapting my style to a range of formats including narrative, commercial and non-scripted. I self-shoot and edit many of my projects, ensuring the high level of quality  and fast turnaround that you would expect from an MSR production.

My interest in the video media was honed during my Film with Practice MA, and built upon during my time working as an AD in HETV and Feature projects. Since then, I’ve written, directed, produced and shot festival screened films, and camera operated for some of the largest brands in the world.
